We are hosts to many more White-wing than in previous winters. We counted 25 under our feeders yesterday. There are flocks sitting in trees and on wires near the house. I have also noted there are more Dark-eyed Juncos, more species of Sparrows and more Hawks visiting the yard. We have less American Goldfinch and less Yellow-rumped Warblers. We have been in a serious drought and I am sure the birds are affected by these conditions. I know I have many more birds using my bird baths. I find that each year is different and I am intrigued by the surprises!
